The Ergotron monitor stand is truly the most bang for the buck.I was looking at creating a flight simulator system so that I can run all my aviation sims and this product fit the requirements to a Tee. The stand is well constructed and once assembled provides not only the perfect sim system, but also an excellent work station environment. With three screens I can work on three projects simultaneously or put up references to the side while working on a primary project on the center screen. The stand is such that it allows maximum room on my desk for office material. It's non-intrusive and screen adjustment is effort free. Coupling this stand with a Matrox Triple Head to go and a TrackIR motion sensor, what you have is a killer flight sim system that's the envy of any gamer. My son still drools every time he see's it. It's a bit pricy, but it's worth every penny.

the monitor stand is very big and heavy, but gives you the flexiblity to change postions on your desk. easy to put together and works like advertised. worth the extra money, because it should last a long time.

Ergotron an almost great product
To summarize quickly, I've just received my LX Triple/Dual Display Lift Stand. I ahve it setup with 3 samsung 19 inch screens.

PROs:
- good looking rail
- good looking stand
- the rail tilt nicely up or down
- the rail can be lower or upped easily with a nice spring assist, very smoothly
- you save tons of space by saving the extra stands. I had three stand before, it is a nice to only have one even if it is... huge.

CONs:
- The monitor clamp are made out of plastic and don't look too strong. it is not even one piece plastic so your monitor are not 100% sturdy on the rail. Let's say it if 97% sturdy, not bad but for a professional product, for geeks, could be better. If you want to up or tilt your monitor better move the rail, as pushing the screen themselves feels risky.
- Monitor clamps do not tilt in any way, they only allow swivel from portait to landscape mode. The problem is then, you cannot arrange each monitor individually. All monitor will have to be at same angle on the rail. The rail itself tilt up and down, but again all your monitor will have the same angle. it make sense if all monitor are exact same model, if not you are out of lock.
- The monitor stand protrude very far ahead of the monitors. Having a big stand is not the problem. the problem is that the monitor rail is not extended toward you, but almost flush with the vertical part. So in order to place your keyboard at the right place, you will have to push the stand pretty far back. And with high resolution the screen fonts are small enough as it is. I ended up having my keyboard overlapping the stand, but it is not ideal. I understand why it needs to be so big for huge screens like 20+ but they could offer a smaller version for screen under 20 inch may be.


Overall good product, but Ergotron need to fix the clamp:
1- need to be metal
2- need to adjust: tilt and swivel

Three monitors and more desk space
I've been redesigning my home office and cleanup my desk was part of the process. I had been stacking monitors on books and what not previously. I use three monitors all dells of varying sizes (24, 22, 20) and compared this product with those on amazon and the web for over 50% less the price but I realized this was by far the best quality and wouldn't require clamping to my desk. (eventually those clamps would fail).

This product is SOLID...its a beast and yet stylish for what it does. It has tension based tilt and height adjustments that are slick. I'm very satisfied.

The one issue is wish I could sub out my 20" for another 24 or even a 22 but there just isn't the room unless I did the 90 degree tilt...hmmm.

Fits Three 22" Widescreen LCD"s!
I'm currently using a single 24" screen. I was under the impression by the specs given that I would only be able to fit three 20" screens on it. 20" screens are kinda small after viewing a 24" for so long... Even if there are 3 of them. I took a chance and purchased 3 22" Viewsonic VX2233wm monitors. They all fit with an 1/2 in to spare!! The unit is nice and sturdy and rather good looking. Has multiple adjustment points. I am extremely pleased.
